Registration and Placement of Job Seekers

The Government of Kenya through the National Employment Authority field offices, registers job seekers and links them up with prospective employers. The job seekers are required to visit and register with the County Employment Bureaus countrywide.

Registration process: The following steps are involved;

  • Upon receipt of the jobseeker, the County Employment Officer shall request for originals and copies of academic and training certificates, identification documents and any other testimonials.
  • Upon validation of the documents, the County Employment Officer (CEO), shall enter all the relevant particulars of the jobseeker in the Jobseekers Register, retain the form and copies of the academic, training certificates and testimonials.
  • The CEO shall fill and issue a Registration Card for Employment to the jobseeker listing the identification, and Occupational Code. The CEO shall inform the jobseeker of the need to renew this Card every month as long as they remain jobless.
  • The CEO shall enter the details of jobseekers registered in the Monthly Details of unemployed Persons form.
  • The CEO shall then link up the job seeker with the appropriate employer if vacancies are available.
